Some of the best events in Canary Wharf throughout March 2020

Spring has well and truly sprung here in Canary Wharf come March time. Gone are those bitterly cold and dreary mornings, and a lot is happening in our little area of London.

Visiting Canary Wharf in March and wondering what’s going on? With a lot of concerts over at the o2 and a busy month of exhibitions at ExCeL London, there’s plenty to keep anyone busy.

Here are the top events taking place in Canary Wharf in March 2020:

    • The Baby Show
    • Music for the Marsden
    • Michael Ball & Alfie Boe
    • Country To Country 2020
    • Canary Wharf Squash Classic
    • London Bike Show
    • UFC Fight Night London
    • The B2B Marketing Expo
    • David Gray
    • Santana
    • Planet Earth II – Live in Concert

And here are our picks for the best events taking place this March in Canary Wharf:

    The Baby Show (with Lidl)

    • Date: 1st March
    • Venue: ExCeL London

It may be the start of the month, but it’s the last day to visit The Baby Show. Much like the middle aisle at Lidl, you can expect a varied assortment of products from over 200 big name baby brands.

    Music for the Marsden

    • Date: 3rd March
    • Venue: The o2

The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity is taking over the o2 for one night and what a line-up they have for this charity show. They’ve assembled a list of true legends which includes Eric Clapton, Sir Tom Jones, Bonnie Tyler, Mick Hucknall, Mike Rutherford, Paul Young and Yusuf / Cat Stevens, amongst others.

All proceeds from the event are going towards building a new cancer research centre.

    Michael Ball & Alfie Boe

    • Date: 7TH March
    • Venue: The o2

Back together with a new album that just so happens to be called Back Together (their third collaboration), Ball & Boe are taking a break from Les Misérables in the West End to go on tour, and this stop at the o2 is one of the most popular dates of the tour.

    Country To Country 2020

    • Date: 13th  – 15th March
    • Venue: The o2

Go in the back of the wardrobe and dust off those cowboy boots for a rooting tooting weekend at the o2. Country to Country is a special three-day festival held every March which sees some of the biggest names in the country who wouldn’t usually play in the UK make the journey across the pond.

This year sees Eric Church, Darius Rucker and Luke Combs as the headliners.

    Canary Wharf Squash Classic

    • Date: 8th  – 15th March
    • Venue: The o2

    london_squash

Months before thousands descend upon centre court in SW19, another annual tradition comes back to Canary Wharf in the form of the Squash Classic.

Held in the stunning East Wintergarden, you won’t find a more unique location to watch some of the best squash players in the world go one on one.

    London Bike Show

    • Date: 27th – 29th March
    • Venue: ExCeL London

    london_squash

There won’t be a flat tyre in sight for guests at the London Bike Show. Whether you’re a cycling enthusiast, use an old bike to commute around town or have been thinking of getting a bike but don’t want to buy the wrong one, it’s the ideal chance to chat to professionals and see what advances have been made since the days of the Chopper.

    UFC Fight Night London

    • Date: 21st  March
    • Venue: The o2

Now an annual tradition for UFC, their mid-March show at the o2 may not be PPV level, but it’s always guaranteed to be a reliable fight card.

Last year saw the insane main event between Darren Till and Jorge Masvidal, so expect fighters of the same calibre entering at the cage this year.

    The B2B Marketing Expo

    • Date: 25th  - 26th March
    • Venue: ExCeL London

With over 20,000 marketing professionals and 200 masterclasses over two days, the B2B Marketing Expo is one of the most significant marketing industry events in the UK, and it just so happens to be a few minutes away from our front door.

Whether you work in the B2B market or feel you need help with marketing strategies, it’s the ideal chance to get close and personal with those in the know.

    David Gray

    • Date: 26th March
    • Venue: The o2

It’s hard to forget just how popular White Ladder was when it came out. Even though it was Gray’s fourth album, it was a behemoth in the music charts that slowly climbed it’s way up to number one over months and stayed in the Top100 album charts for over three years.

Having sold over 7 million copies worldwide, Gray is holding a trip down memory lane with a special tour playing White Ladder in full, as well as some of the greatest hits from his back catalogue.

    Santana

    • Date: 27th March
    • Venue: The o2

Whether you love a bit of Latin rock or simply think Smooth is the greatest song of all time (and that’s hard to argue), legendary guitarist Santana is coming by our neck of the woods for one night only at the o2.

Expect a lot of guitar solos and Latin vibes.

Planet Earth II – Live in Concert

    • Date: 29th March
    • Venue: The o2

We can’t promise Sir David Attenborough on stage with a cello, but we can say that if you’re a big fan of the Planet Earth series from the TV, you can’t pass up the opportunity to hear a full orchestra accompany some of the best footage from the show.
